Memorial Day Weekend ! And what a beautiful weekend to have a wedding ! Corey & Karen were married in the beautiful gardens of Clay Hill Farm in York, Maine. An intimate gathering of family and friends helped the couple celebrate their wedding day in style.

F/D Dance " Because you Loved Me " by Celine Dion and the M/S Dance was " On this Day " by Christian Barnes. After formalities such as Anniversary Dances, and Dollar Dances , the floor opened up to everyone . " Wonderful Tonight " by Eric Clapton was the perfect Last Dance song .
Corey and Karen had special custom birdhouses made as Center Piece Giveaways for their guests which made great conversation pieces.

Lauren & Jason's Wedding May 22nd, 2010

Lauren & Jason were married and had their reception at the Cliffside Lodge in Poland, Maine.
The young military couple were stationed at BNAS and were ready to start their lives together after a brief engagement and soon to be trek across country as the Naval Air Station prepares for closure.

It was our first time at the Cliffside Lodge and it was absoloutely beautiful. We worked with Bellefete Catering. Lori Kinkade and her staff were amazing to work with ! The floral arrangements and linens were perfect and the food was delicious. Everything was coordinated with Bellefete in advance and went off perfectly. We look forward to working with Bellefete Catering again and highly recommend their services.

The intimate ceremony took place on the grounds as the bridal party made their entrance down a gravel pathway to the ceremony area surrounded by loved ones .

The Bridesmaids entered to " Air on a G String " , as the Bride'd entrance song was " Cannon in Gigue D." The Recessional was " Somewhere over the Rainbow " by Israel Kamakowski.

The Grand entrance choice was " Beautiful Day " by U2 ( and it was a beautiful day ). Lauren and Jason chose " At Last " by Etta James as their 1st Dance . After Toasts and Dinner ( and toasted Smores ) " Sweetest Thing " by U2 played out for the Cake Cutting which was followed by " My Girl " by the Temptations for the F/D dance and " In My Life " by the Beatles for the M/S Dance.
Several songs from the " Top Gun " soundtrack were played to coincide with the military dress and nature of service from the United States Armed Forces.

Chris & Sara's Wedding May 1st, 2010

The Wyndham Hotel was the setting for Chris & Sara's reception. They were married earlier in the day at the Woodfords Congregational Church in Portland.

Guests were treated to cocktail hour in an ajoining room beofre being welcomed into the ballroom prior to the 6:30 pm Grand Entrance. Big Band Rat Pack style music set the mood for the guests as they made their way to their seats.

The Bridal Party made their entrance to Walter Murphy's disco era hit " A Fifth of Beethoven ."
Chris and Sara immediately went into their first dance, " To Make you feel my love " by Adele.
Toasts and dinner followed with " When I'm 64 " playing out for the Cake Cutting .
" I Loved her first " by Heartland was a moving Father/ Daughter song which was followed up by " Wonderful World " by Louis Armstrong for the Mother/ Son Dance.

Anniversary Dances followed with a special tribute to Dawson & Elaine Otis celebrating 40 years of marriage ! The dance floor was opened and remained packed up to the very last song.
Chicago's " You're My Inspiration " was a fitting end to a truly special day.

Congratulations Sara & Chris !

Prom Season !

Another Prom Season has come and gone and Double Platinum Celebrations was able to fit two Proms into our busy Spring Wedding Season .

Our first stop was Winslow High School's Prom held at the VFW Hall in Winslow. DJ Kevin kept the students dancing all night and dazzled them with his state of the art light show.

One week later , DJ Kevin went to the Elks Lodge in Augusta/ Belgrade for Winthrop High School's Prom. Word of Kevin's stellar performance from nearby Winslow's Prom the previous week already had the students in Winthrop buzzing with anticipation about their prom.
DJ Kevin did not disappoint and treated the students to a night full of clean edit hits and a light show that will not soon be forgotten.
