June 5, 2011 Samantha & Anthony's Wedding

The first weekend in June mirrored every weekend in May; very busy .. with multiple functions every weekend ..multiple days.. On June 5th we traveled back to Tuscany Hall in South Paris, Maine where we celebrated with Samantha & Anthony on a gorgeous sunny afternoon.

The newlyweds were married nearby at a private residence earlier and were ready to party !

The Bridal Party was introduced to " We are Family " by Sister Sledge " and the Bride & Groom's First Dance was " Are you gonna kiss me or not " by Thompson Square.

May 14, 2011 Paige & Michael Wedding

On May 14th, Maine Wedding DJ, Patrick Daniels had the honor of DJ'ing at the York Harbour Reading Room . Guests enjoyed cocktail hour downstairs while listening to the Rat Pack , having appetizers, cocktails and watching the surf . After cocktail hour the staff welcomed everyone upstairs while the Bridal Party prepared for their Grand Entrance. "Stereo Love " welcomed the Wedding Party into the Grand Room , and Cold Play's " Viva La Vida " played for the Matron of Honor, Best Man, Maid of Honor , Bride & Groom.

Michael & Paige had their First Dance to " The Way you look tonight ." by Old Blue Eyes, Frank Sinatra .

April 2011 Update ! Wedding Season just a few weeks away !

Here we are in mid - April and the snow is almost gone, and soon Double Platinum will be busy with the 2011 wedding season. There are still a few select dates that DJ Pat is personally available for . Our talented staff have a few available open dates as well, so check our availability to see if we are open to help you celebrate your special day. January - March was very busy with inquiries ( as previously posted ) from all parts of the globe and all levels of services. We love talking to people to hear about their visions for one of the most important days of their lives. It is an art form to take a vision and turn it into reality. We love to discuss all the details ( large and small ) that will make up your wedding day. One of favorite things is to educate the potential client on what to look for in a quality service and what levels of service they can expect. Countless writings have been done on " Price, how much ? How much ? " It's one of our favorite topics as the customized services we offer is not reflective of all other vendors out there. I love telling people that we offer customized services do much more than just play music. We are your onsite coordinator who works in tandem with all your other vendors so you can relax and have fun. We are there to represent you ! We pride ourselves in pairing up the client with the right DJ who is best qualified for their specific needs. We turn work down , when we don't have the best fit and recommend our preferred friendly competitors. Most companies will try to book the client and then figure out the details. Not us , we want to make sure the client is well taken care of whether it be with us or an outside service. Several brides for the 2011 season have thanked us for locating a quality vendor for them outside of our organization. We are here to listen and offer any professional advice and guide you through your wedding day seamless from start to finish.

Record high Wedding bookings set in February 2011

Wow ! We had previously reported record online traffic and inquiries last month and our diligent efforts translated into the biggest month we've experienced for wedding bookings !
Now quantity is nice, but it always takes second place... quality is first and foremost.
While we did set a personal company record, we actually turned down a record amount of work also because most of us have been booked for weeks and months prior.
I say it all the time... book early.. book early to get the quality vendor you want.

We attribute that to word of mouth referrals, clients ; past and present who recommend our services, well placed advertising, vendor recommendations , and the relationships we have with industry professionals. We personally respond to each and every inquiry no later than 24 hours from when we receive it. 90% of the time we are able to respond same day if not within the hour when we receive it. 2011 Season off to a Great Start !

Well it is January , and the brides are active and looking for quality vendors. We have been very busy meeting brides and scheduling consultations . We are happy to note that quite a few clients are people who were in attendance at previous weddings that we have done ! While we do a healthy amount of advertising ( print media, email campaigns, social networking, blogging , bridal show, and expos ) the best advertising is word of mouth and having someone see you in action first hand. September 2010 Pt. 2

Our next function was a Surprise 50th Birthday Party for Randy & Pam , put on by their daugters at The Gold Room in Portland, Maine. The theme was groovy 70's ! Lots of Funk and Disco echoed through the hall , and DJ Pat got to show off his Disco Elton John look !

September 11th on Drake Island in Wells, Maine at a private beachside residence was the intimate setting for Linda & Bruce. They had a lovely seaside ceremony on the beach and then everyone transitioned back to the cabana tent for cocktail hour , dinner and dancing .
Old classics and some 80s and tecno were the rave of the night ! A truly beautiful day and magical evening ! Thank you Linda & Bruce !

September 18th was the date for Kristin & Joshua to be married at Springhill in S.Berwick.
The ceremony took place on the grounds under the Arbor . From the opening notes of Pachebel's " Cannon " outside to the last thunderous guitar chord of AC/DC " You Shook Me All Night Long " at the end of the night .. this rocked ! We even had a Conga line that stretched out into the parking lot ! A very fun wedding day !

DJ Tom keeping busy for August 2010

We would like to recognize one of our star DJs, DJ Tom for all of his hard work and excellent services . Tom had 3 weddings this month and hit a home run with each one ! Way to go Tom !

Tom's first wedding was on Aug. 7th at the Silver Spur in Mechanic Falls with Hillary & Elijah.
Next was Paul & Justyna at the Italian Heritage Center in Portland on Aug. 21st .
Tom rounded out the month at the McKernan Ctr in S.Portland to celebrate with Anne & Eric from California .

Tom works very hard to ensure his clients are taken care of and will always go the extra mile to make sure they are relaxed, and satisfied !

August 2010 Weddings Recap pt. 3

Aug. 28th at The Inn by the Sea was the romantic setting for Elizabeth & Keth's wedding reception. They were married just down the road at a quaint historical church. The cocktail hour was on the lovely grounds and dinner was in the tent on the other end of the property. Dancing and cake took place inside the seaside reception room.Congratulations Keith & Elizabeth !

Aug. 29th DJ Pat & DJ Mark were up bright and early to team up for the first of 3 weddings together . This one being at the Inn at Peaks, on Peaks Island, Maine. Jordan and Emily had their ceremony on the grounds with classical musicians providing the arrival and ceremony music. A cocktail hour and dinner followed their grand entrance " You've Got a friend in me " by Randy Newman & Lyle Lovett . A beautiful summer's day came to a close with the Last Dance, " With a little help from my friends " by Joe Cocker.

August 2010 Weddings Recap pt. 1

August came roaring in with 3 weddings in a row for DJ Pat !

First up was Justine & Zach's Aug. 6th wedding at the ever popular Dune Grass
( our 3rd wedding there in 3 weeks )
The Bridal Party Grand Entrance was " Born to Run " by Bruce Springsteen , and the Newlyweds made their entrance to " We Will Rock You ." by Queen The 1st Dance was " Then " by Brad Paisley. Parent Dances followed the Couples 1st Dance. Everyone danced the night away and the Last Dance was " Save the Last Dance for Me " by Michael Buble. Congratulations Justine & Zach !

Aug. 7th Double Platinum Celebrations hosted a good old fashioned back yard ceremony & reception in Hartford, Maine with Tyler & Kara . We had a tremendous amount of fun planning the day out in advance with the young couple. From customized Processional songs hand picked by DJ Pat to formal traditional selections and a little classic rock thrown in for good measure !
As one guest noted, " The wedding date fell on the same night as the only New England appearance of KISS. Since we couldn't go to the KISS concert, DJ Pat brought some of the KISS concert to us ! The dance lights lit up the night sky and that famous chorus to Rock and Roll All Nite echoed through the Hartford area ! We wanted the best, and we got the best ! DJ Pat !"

Aug. 8th Wedding in Kennebunkport with Tracy & Josh at the Ocean Woods Resort .
Bon Jovi's " Livin' on a Prayer " welcomed the Bridal Party in to the reception room and Bonnie Tyler's " Something to Talk About " was the song of choice for the newlyweds.
After a cute, memorable speech from the Flower Girl, Anna Belle it was time for dinner and dancing . Tim McGraws, " Stars Go Blue " was the Last Dance of the evening.
