December 3, 2011 Wedding Nicolas & Maria

Nicolas & Maria hired Maine DJ Patrick Daniels for their wedding after seeing DJ Pat in action at Erin & Aaron's wedding on August 20th, 2011.

 The Wedding was held at the Lovely Calumet Club in Augusta, Maine.

 The Wedding Party was introduced to " Let's Get it Started " by the Black Eyed Peas, and the newlyweds were introduced to " Good Life " by One Republic.

Farewell DJ Tom !

DJ Tom announces his " retirement " from DJ'ing after having successfully overseeing and emceeing hundreds of weddings and functions; DJ Tom has announced  due to a recent promotion at his day job he no longer will be available for weddings  after the end of the 2011 Wedding Season .

DJ Tom we commend you on your success as one of the premier DJs in Maine & NH .

The biggest wedding date of 2011 ! 9/10/11... and it called for a grand celebration at the Bar Harbor Inn in beautiful Bar Harbor, Maine.

DJ Pat returned to Bar Harbor for a lovely ceremony on the seaside lawn followed by the reception inside.

Kristin & Brett were married at the YMCA camp in Winthrop, Maine. The ceremony took place down on the dock and the reception was in the function hall. This was a beautiful setting that showcased their love for nature and for one another.

 The Wedding Party was introduced to " Don't Stop Believein' " by Journey and the Bride & Groom made a suprise entrance via nother door to " Save a Horse " by Big & Rich.

 Their First Dance was " Free " by the Zac Brown Band.

On September 3, 2011 DJ Pat returned to the Italian Heritage Center for a big , fun Italian wedding !
The room was at capacity for this celebration ! The Wedding Party was introduced to " Sirius " by the Alan Parsons Project , and the Bride & Groom entered to " It takes two " by Rob Base .

The couple's First Dance was "Everything " by Michael Buble.

 The dance floor stayed packed all night and everyone had a great time dancing !

August 27, 2011 Chelsea & Ben's Wedding

Maine DJ Patrick Daniels headed to the Fryeburg Fairgrounds for this special wedding reception. First stop was the ceremony at the New Fryeburg Church where DJ Pat took care of the ceremony music.

Next stop .. the Fairgrounds ( actually , we were there earlier as we always set up at the reception location first to ensure a smooth transition ) for the party !

The Wedding Party was introduced to "Footloose " by Kenny Loggins , and the Bride & Groom entered to "Fish " by Craig Campbell. Their First Dance was " Just by Being You " Steel Magnolia.

August 20, 2011 Erin & Aaron's Wedding

Maine DJ Patrick Daniels had the honor of DJ'ing for Erin & Aaron at one of our favorite central maine venues, The Senator Inn in Augusta.
The Wedding Party was Introduced to an instrumental version of Coldplay's " Viva La Vida " and the Bride &  Groom danced to " Love of My Life " by Jim Brickman.

Erin & Aron were so impressed with DJ Pat they immdiately put their relative, Nicolas in touch and he soon booked DJ Pat for his upcoming December 2011 wedding , which you can read about as well.

August 13, 2011 Jen & Shane's Wedding

Jen & Shane celebrated their wedding reception at the Ramada Inn in Saco . Have we mentioned , we LOVE this venue and staff !

Megan & David tied the knot at Keeley the Kater's for a Sunday Wedding. The ceremony took place at Keeleys, quickly followed by cocktail hour and dinner.

 The couple's First Dance was to " It's your Love " Faith Hill & Tim McGraw .

August 6, 2011 Valerie & Luke's Wedding

Having sent DJ Mike to Fisherman's Wharf for a fun wedding back in June, DJ Pat was ready  to go for himelf for a great wedding with Valerie & Luke at this historice landmark venue. The views are gorgeous and the staff are the nicest people and make you feel right at home !

 As many clients have done, they have gone on recommendations from previous clients who either were in a wedding DJ Pat has done or were a guest.  One of the Bridesmaids had recommended us as this was her 3rd wedding she was in attendance at that we did ! Gotta love it !!

The Wedding Party all arrived via boat and docked out front making for an elaborate picture.
The Wedding Party was introduced to "Forever " by Chris Brown , and the Bride & Groom danced to " Without You " by Keith Urban ; for their First Dance .

This group danced the entire time packing the floor all night !

DJ Mike was at a private residence in Jefferson, Maine to help Lindsey & Ryan celebrate their wedding day on July 2nd.

DJ Seth travelled to Casco, Maine for a grand wedding at a private residence for Robert & Betsy's wedding day on July 9th.

DJ Nate went to one of our favorite venues ; the Fireside Inn Portland ; to celebrate with Amanda & Shawn on their wedding day on July 16th.

July 30, 2011 Harry & Jacqueline's Wedding

The Ocean Woods Resort in Kennebunkport, Maine was the setting for this wonderful wedding day. The couple were married on Gooserocks beach earlier and were ready to party in a lovely tent on the propert at the resort. Many customized songs  helped create a special atmosphere for the newlyweds and their guests.

 The Parents were introduced to " American Girl " by Tom Petty , and the Wedding Party was introduced to "  Welcome to the Jungle " by Guns n' Roses . The Bride & Groom made their entrance after a special snippet of " O' Fortuna " blared out and then " Crazy Train " followed as they rocked their way in.  The couple's First Dance was a custom mix of " Love you to Death " by Type o' Negative and " IDWTMAT " by Aerosmith ; where all couples were asked to join in.

July 23, 2011 Stephanie & Larry's Wedding

We have been  fortunate to do many weddings at the Spruce Point Inn as a preferred vendoe there for the last several years. DJ Mark and DJ Pat teamed up for this special day to celebrate with Stephanie & Larry and their friends and family.

The ceremony took place on the deck , followe by cocktail hour and then dinner and dancing ensued in the lovely Pemaquid Hall.

DJ Pat returned to the Holiday Inn by the Bay , where Double Platinum Celebrations has been a recommended vendor there for the past 5 years. Ceremony services were provided in one area of the facility and the reception took place in another part of the ballroom.

The Wedding Party were introduced to " Jump Around " by House of Pain and the Bride & Groom had their First Dance to " Tangled up in You " by Aaron Lewis .

This crowd brought their dancing shoes and filled the dance floor to a great mixture of club music and old school classics all night long !

Brandi & Ryan are friends of ours in the Wedding Industry. They are Wedding Photographers whom we have had the pleasure of working with . When it was time for their own wedding, they immediately reached out to Double Platinum Celebrations to secure the services of Maine Wedding DJ Patrick Daniels.

DJ Pat traveled to the Penobscot Valley Country Club in Orono, Maine to provide ceremony services and rreception entertainment for this festive gathering.

June 5, 2011 Samantha & Anthony's Wedding

The first weekend in June mirrored every weekend in May; very busy .. with multiple functions every weekend ..multiple days.. On June 5th we traveled back to Tuscany Hall in South Paris, Maine where we celebrated with Samantha & Anthony on a gorgeous sunny afternoon.

The newlyweds were married nearby at a private residence earlier and were ready to party !

The Bridal Party was introduced to " We are Family " by Sister Sledge " and the Bride & Groom's First Dance was " Are you gonna kiss me or not " by Thompson Square.

June 4, 2011 Kate & Chris' Wedding

The Free Will Baptist Church was the setting for Kate & Chris' beautiful ceremony in Buxton, Maine. We provided sound for the ceremony and then made our way to Season's Grille where we had set up earlier in the day for a spectacular reception.

The Wedding Party was introduce to " All is Love " by Karen -O and the Kids. The Bride & Groom had their First Dance to " You and I "by Michael Buble .

It was a fun time and Kate's 7 year old brother, Benjamin , stole the show as DJ Pat's unofficial DJ helper spinning tunes and making cute announcements.

Special thanks to Mitchell Perrin for stepping in to help out with this wedding and several more throughout the season ! A Very special thank you to my wife, Cindy , who assisted with the Ceremony in Buxton :-)

May 29th, 2011 Kristina & Ted's Wedding

On a recommendation from a previous client in 2010, Ted & Kristina sought out the services of Double Platinum Celebrations DJ Services for their wedding at the historic Longfellow's Wayside Inn in Sudbury, Mass.

The Wedding party was introduced to " Glad all over " by the Dave Clark Five. The Bride & Groom were introduced to "At Last " by Etta James.

Lithuanian customs followed and the Bride & Groom danced their First Dance to " Wonderful World " by Louis Armstrong.

May 28, 2011 Wedding Liz & Adam

In 2010 ; Maine DJ Patrick Daniels hosted a Surprise Party at The Gold Room in Portland . The clients were so impressed they called back months later and asked DJ Pat what date he had available so they could guarantee they had him for their wedding day celebration.

Liz & Adam celebrated their reception at Keeley the Katerer in Portland, Maine.

Liz & Adam had a tropical theme as they were married in the tropics earlier in the year.

A slideshow of the ceremony preceeded the Bride & Groom's introduction.

Their First Dance was " Come away with me " by Norah Jones.

May 21, 2011 Jen & Craig's Wedding

Double Platinum Celebrations made their debut at the Lewiston Ramada Inn to celebrate with Jen & Craig in grand style. The staff were very accommodating and made DJ Pat feel right at home.Guests enjoyed a nice mix of 70's and 80's classics while waiting for the Wedding Party Grand Entrance. " Signed, sealed, delivered" by Stevie Wonder welcomed in the wedding party and " Tik Tok " by Kesha, was the song for the newlyweds.A custom mix of contemporary song snippets made up their first dance.

Jen & Craig danced the night away with their guests ending the night with " Dirty Bit " by the Black Eyed Peas.

May 20th, 2011 50th Anniversary Don & Nancy

On May 20th, 2011 ; Maine DJ Pat, had the opportunity to celebrate with friends from years past . Don & Nancy celebrated their 50th Anniversary Party with family & friends at The American Legion Post in Westbrook, Maine.

Don & Nancy danced to " Why do fools fall in Love ? " by Frankie Lymon & The Teenagers .

They were married on April 1st 1951.

Congratulations to Don & Nancy !! Thank you to their children, Maureen & Don for re-connecting with DJ Pat and inviting us to share in this wonderful celebration !

May 14, 2011 Paige & Michael Wedding

On May 14th, Maine Wedding DJ, Patrick Daniels had the honor of DJ'ing at the York Harbour Reading Room . Guests enjoyed cocktail hour downstairs while listening to the Rat Pack , having appetizers, cocktails and watching the surf . After cocktail hour the staff welcomed everyone upstairs while the Bridal Party prepared for their Grand Entrance. "Stereo Love " welcomed the Wedding Party into the Grand Room , and Cold Play's " Viva La Vida " played for the Matron of Honor, Best Man, Maid of Honor , Bride & Groom.

Michael & Paige had their First Dance to " The Way you look tonight ." by Old Blue Eyes, Frank Sinatra .

May 7th, 2011 Kristen & Dave's Wedding

Wedding season kicked off with a bang at the Portland Country Club in Falmouth, Maine.

The ceremony took place upstairs on the top deck overlooking the green.

Following a Rat Pack style cocktail hour wedding introductions ensued.

The bridal party was introduced to " Tony's theme from Scar face ." A slideshow followed and then the newlyweds were introduced to " It just comes natural " by George Strait and then right into their first dance ," Give in to me " by Garrett Hedlund and Leighton Meester.

April 2011 Recap

The month of April started off with Maine DJ Patrick Daniels heading to Governor's Inn Waterville to celebrate Mary & Gary's 35th Wedding Anniversary. The April fools snowstorm the day before did not hinder the travel or party plans for this celebration !

The end of April saw DJ Pat & DJ Mark of Best Maine DJs take their DJ/MC skills to the airwaves of WMPG. They joined their good friend, DJ Diamond Dave , on his radio show to throw a birthday bash radio party in honor of ex-KISS guitarist, Ace Frehley's 60th birthday. Music , stories and cake rounded out the festivities .

DJ Kevin Wiacek helped Marshwood H.S. rock their Prom at the Portsmouth Sheraton Inn . DJ Kevin had the capacity crowd on their feet the whole night with his amazing mixes and awesome light show.

April 2011 Update ! Wedding Season just a few weeks away !

Here we are in mid - April and the snow is almost gone, and soon Double Platinum will be busy with the 2011 wedding season. There are still a few select dates that DJ Pat is personally available for . Our talented staff have a few available open dates as well, so check our availability to see if we are open to help you celebrate your special day. January - March was very busy with inquiries ( as previously posted ) from all parts of the globe and all levels of services. We love talking to people to hear about their visions for one of the most important days of their lives. It is an art form to take a vision and turn it into reality. We love to discuss all the details ( large and small ) that will make up your wedding day. One of favorite things is to educate the potential client on what to look for in a quality service and what levels of service they can expect. Countless writings have been done on " Price, how much ? How much ? " It's one of our favorite topics as the customized services we offer is not reflective of all other vendors out there. I love telling people that we offer customized services do much more than just play music. We are your onsite coordinator who works in tandem with all your other vendors so you can relax and have fun. We are there to represent you ! We pride ourselves in pairing up the client with the right DJ who is best qualified for their specific needs. We turn work down , when we don't have the best fit and recommend our preferred friendly competitors. Most companies will try to book the client and then figure out the details. Not us , we want to make sure the client is well taken care of whether it be with us or an outside service. Gary & Mary 35th Anniversary Party 4/2/11

On April 2nd, I had the pleasure of sharing a joyous Anniversary Party with Gary & Mary Degon. They renewed their vows after 35 years and celebrated with friends and family at Governor's in Waterville. Many folks traveled to Waterville the day before during the April Fool's Day snowstorm. Inclement weather did not not stop everyone from making it to Maine to celebrate with them. Their Grand Entrance was to Elvis' " I Want you, I need you, I love you ." Anniversary Dances and a cake cutting followed as well as a special Rose bouquet presentation to their dear friend , Chris Banville , who introduced the couple back in the 70's ! A wonderful time was had by all, including a conga line that went from the ballroom , down the hallway to the front doors and back !

Record high Wedding bookings set in February 2011

Wow ! We had previously reported record online traffic and inquiries last month and our diligent efforts translated into the biggest month we've experienced for wedding bookings !
Now quantity is nice, but it always takes second place... quality is first and foremost.
While we did set a personal company record, we actually turned down a record amount of work also because most of us have been booked for weeks and months prior.
I say it all the time... book early.. book early to get the quality vendor you want.

I personally spoke to over 100 people in the month of February. That's right.. I personally spoke to them. You call the number.. you get me.. If you get voice mail.. I personally call you back.

The online traffic we are experiencing is setting record levels. We have been busy listening to potential client's visions of their wedding days and explaining our customized services. Some book us immediately, some keep price -shopping, but all are appreciative of the time we take to chat with them directly about their special wedding day.
